What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is the first injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity. It is a chemical-free, thermally cross-linked HA technology. It results in an overall improvement in the appearance of the face, with increased firmness, elasticity and brightness of the skin, and a reduction not only of the most superficial wrinkles, but also the deep nasolabial folds.

How long does a Profhilo treatment take?

The procedure usually takes 30 minutes.

Will the treatment hurt?

There are multiple small injection points. At LPS Medical Aesthetics we use viStylus- an advanced electronic pain relief device to reduce any discomfort.

Is one treatment enough to show results?

You will definitely feel the difference in your skin and may see some improvement in skin laxity. Optimal results are usually attained after the second treatment session.

Is Profhilo safe?

Yes. Due to the high purity of Hyaluronic Acid and absence of additives, Profhilo offers greater safety and reduced side effects.

What are the potential side effects?

Minimal bruising and soreness at the injection sites. This clears up within 48hours.

Is there anything I should do/not do after treatment with Profhilo?

Avoid excessive touching of the injection sites. Avoid using any make up for up to 24 hours.

How often do I need to do Profhilo?

It is recommended to repeat Profhilo every 6 months.

Can anyone carry out Profhilo Treatment?

No. Profhilo can only be done by appropriately trained medical professionals- e.g. Dentists, Doctors and Aesthetic Nurses. At LPS Medical Aesthetics this is done solely by Dr. Kevin Singh.
